Dear Community Partner,

The Mount Washington Valley Housing Coalition (MWVHC) invites you to attend our Annual State of Housing Breakfast on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tin Mountain Conservation Center in Albany, NH.

This year’s program will explore the state policies, public investments, and funding decisions that shape housing opportunities in our community.

We are pleased to feature two timely presentations:

  • Nick Taylor, Executive Director, Housing Action NH
Nick will provide an update on housing-related action taken in Concord over the past year and discuss priorities and issues to watch in the upcoming legislative session.
  • Gene Martin, Executive Director, New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute
Gene will provide context on the state budget and how funding decisions can affect affordable housing opportunities across New Hampshire.

The program will also include a panel of local housing developers, who will share their experiences and perspectives on the role public funding can play in making housing projects possible in the Mount Washington Valley.

Panelists:

  • Eliza Grant, Owner, The Bluebird Project
  • Harrison Kanzler, Executive Director, AHEAD (Affordable Housing Education and Development)
  • John Egan, Director of Real Estate Development, Avesta Housing
  • Ryan Jean, Owner, Cathedral Ledge Contracting

With New Hampshire’s state elections just weeks away and the next Legislature preparing to make important budget and policy decisions, this is an important opportunity for our community to stay informed about the policies and investments that will shape the future of housing across the state.

Coffee and a light continental breakfast will be served at 8am and speakers will begin at 8:30am.

Tickets are free, though we suggest a $25 donation to support the ongoing work of MWVHC in advocating for housing solutions in our valley.

We would be honored by your presence and participation in this important conversation.
